Graphics:
Visually, Fatal Fury 2 is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. The character sprites are more detailed and better animated, showcasing the power and style of each fighter. The backgrounds are vibrant and varied, depicting different locations from around the world. From bustling city streets to tranquil natural settings, the attention to detail adds depth to the game's atmosphere. Although the SNES version isn't as visually impressive as its arcade counterpart, the graphics still manage to impress and immerse players in the intense battles.

Gameplay:
Fatal Fury 2 introduces several new gameplay mechanics, refining the fighting experience. The controls are responsive and intuitive, allowing players to execute special moves, combos, and devastating super moves with relative ease. Each fighter has a unique playstyle and move set, giving players a wide variety of options to experiment with. The game also implements a two-plane battle system, enabling fighters to jump between the foreground and background, adding an extra layer of strategy to the fights.  The replay value is rather low, as this would be a one-night rental at Blockbuster, before you would beat it or be tired of it.

The AI opponents provide a decent challenge, progressively increasing in difficulty as you advance through the game. However, the single-player mode lacks the depth and storytelling found in other fighting games of the time. The lack of a robust story mode or character-specific narratives might disappoint those seeking a more immersive experience.

Multiplayer:
Fatal Fury 2 truly shines when played with friends. The SNES version supports two-player versus mode, allowing players to go head-to-head in thrilling battles. The competitive nature of the game comes to life in multiplayer, as you can showcase your skills and strategies against real opponents. Engaging in epic duels with a friend adds replayability and endless hours of fun.

Sound:
The soundtrack of Fatal Fury 2 is a mixed bag. While some tracks are memorable and enhance the atmosphere of the fights, others feel repetitive and forgettable. Sound effects during battles are satisfying, with impactful hits and special move animations adding weight to each attack. However, the overall audio quality is limited by the capabilities of the SNES hardware, lacking the depth and fidelity found in other platforms.
